maintenance plans

Outdoor lighting systems are generally low-maintenance, but they’re not maintenance free. Periodic maintenance is necessary for several reasons, including:

  • Keeping the low voltage lights clean and free of yard debris.
  • Ensuring that the fixtures remain positioned as intended, correctly illuminating your outdoor features.
  • Catching minor issues before they come larger issues that might reduce the lifespan of an outdoor lighting system.

For most outdoor lighting systems in California, we recommend a maintenance visit twice per year. Outdoor lighting systems in Colorado are exposed to considerably harsher weather, so quarterly maintenance is suggested.

For larger systems and commercial properties – in California or Colorado – quarterly maintenance is recommended. All plans include our 7 Point Inspection.

DAZZLE LIGHTING CO’s SEVEN POINT INSPECTION INCLUDES:

  • POWER TRANSFORMER: Inspect, clean, voltage test
  • LIGHTING CONTROLS: Verify settings and functionality
  • BULBS/LEDs: Inspect for damaged or burned out lamps
  • WIRE/CONNECTIONS: Inspect and re-bury wire
  • FIXTURE CHECK: Clean, repair, and treat with water repellent
  • FIXTURE PLACEMENT: Inspect and reposition for vegetation growth
  • LIGHTING ANGLE: Re-aim, tighten, and clear obstructions.

What is not included with Dazzle Lighting Co’s maintenance plans?

Damage to wiring, fixtures, or transformers resulting from the customer’s actions, and actions of the customer’s guests, kids, pets, landscapers, etc. Additionally, “acts of God” are not covered, including damage from severe weather, lighting strikes/power surges, etc.

If the damage is a direct result of Dazzle’s Lighting Co’s installation of fixtures, wire, or transformers, then that IS covered. For example, if a wire was poorly buried and a rabbit eats the wire, then that damage IS covered. But if a customer’s dog digs up wire that is properly buried, that would NOT be covered.

Maintenance is intended to reduce the effects of normal environmental exposure in order to extend the life of your lighting system and prevent minor issues from becoming big issues.
