Will outdoor lights impact my electric bill?
The LED outdoor lighting that Dazzle Lighting Co installs is very efficient, especially compared to traditional halogen and incandescent bulbs that you might be familiar with.
An outdoor lighting installation for a typical home might add $5 per month to your electricity bill.
Do the lights turn on and off automatically?
Yes, most of our clients want that. Dazzle Lighting Co’s systems are usually configured to turn on automatically at dusk (using a photocell) and then turn off at a specified time or at dawn.
Systems can also be programmed to turn on and off at specified times. (For example, 7 pm to 2 am)
We can also install systems with multiple zones so that different sections of your property turn on and off at different times. Systems are also available that turn lights on in particular zones at designated intensities at predetermined times.
does Dazzle do system demos?
Yes! We’d be happy to set up a few lights for an evening so you can be sure that you’re ready to make the investment.

How long does installation usually take?
Most installations are completed in a single day!
does dazzle offer a warranty?
Absolutely!
During the 30 day period following installation of your outdoor lighting system, we will return as many times as is necessary to make sure everything is just right.

Yes, we do!
Any lighting system requires ongoing maintenance from the ravages of weather, accidental damage, and general wear and tear.

will Dazzle repair systems that were installed by another company?

will Dazzle install outdoor lights that a client has already purchased?
Maybe. Maybe not. Depends. Contact us and we can discuss it. If you bought really cheap lights, the answer will probably be “no.”
Dazzle has access to a wide variety of high-quality and specialty fixtures that you can’t buy at your local “big box” store, so you probably want to check out what we have before buying anything.
Do you need an outdoor outlet in order to install lights?
Yup. We always need at least one exterior outlet to plug a low voltage transformer into.
If you don’t have any exterior outlets, don’t worry… they can usually be installed for just a few hundred dollars. And besides, every home really needs a few outdoor outlets anyway! Where are you going to plug your margarita machine into???

what brands of lights does dazzle install?
Dazzle offers a wide variety of lights at a range of price points. Manufacturers include AMP, Alliance, Lumien, FX Luminaire, and Aurora Lights, just to name a few. No two jobs are the same, and Dazzle chooses fixtures based upon project suitability, not brand loyalty. Often, installations include lights from multiple manufacturers since we utilize the exact right fixture to accomplish our lighting design goals.
how much does this usually cost?
Depending upon the exact fixtures you’d like, systems can be installed for as little as $275 per fixture.
Even at the “economy” end of our pricing, you can expect high-quality, UL-listed brass fixtures coupled with Dazzle’s usual creative lighting design and meticulous installation.
Our most affordable fixtures are higher quality lights than you can purchase at your local big box store.
What about dark sky regulations?
Great question! As a general rule, if you’re mindful of your neighbors you’re going to be fine.
There are number of lighting principles that Dazzle adheres to when designing and installing outdoor lighting systems. Our principles are in alignment with Dark Sky International’s five principles for responsible outdoor lighting.
Some municipalities and HOAs have ordinances and regulations governing outdoor lighting. Unfortunately, these are selectively and unevenly enforced. The good news is that our design and install principles generally prevent Dazzle from running afoul of any of these ordinances and regulations.
